The Montgomery County Solo and Small Ensemble competition is open to all students in grades 6-12. There is not a required list of songs, although songs do need to be memorized. 

Medals are awarded for First Divisions. We even award an Outstanding soloist medal and/or Honorable Mention soloist certificate for each school. 

Solos are $13 each. 

Ensemble members are $7 each.

Directors will need to provide a copy of the music for the adjudicator. Live accompanist or a prerecorded track is acceptable. 

Concessions will be available. 

Registration deadline is September 22, 2022. 

Academic Eligibility is not required by the Montgomery County Solo Competition for participation. Please adhere to your school district policy.
